General Practice

At Dulwich Family Practice our aim is to provide individual and quality medical care.

We will address your medical problems comprehensively – we are not interested in the so called 5 minute medicine, as we feel it does not provide adequate medical care , nor is it satisfying from a medical perspective.

Since our move from Stuart Road to our current larger premises at 62 Dulwich Ave, we have been able to compliment our service with additional Doctors, on site Pathology, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Psychology, Dietetic and Nutrition and Cosmetic Nurses, all of whom have enormous experience and skill.

We count ourselves lucky to have such an high quality multidisciplinary group as well an outstanding practice management and support staff team.

We are a medical team of 9 doctors – 6 women and 3 men – with more than 150 years of cumulative experience – we have varied skills from womens and mens health to sports medicine and minor surgery.

Women′s Health

All of our doctors are experienced in Women’s health. If you prefer to see a female doctor, this can be arranged. Dr Jennifer Wilton has a special interest in Menopause Medicine. Dr Jill Gardner is accredited for Mirena Interuterine Device insertion, and Drs Jill Gardner, Jennifer Wilton and Andrew MacDonald are able to insert Implanon contraception.

We strongly recommend immunisation according to the Australian Childhood Immunisation schedule, and keep these vaccines onsite.

Management of Acute Childhood Illnesses

Chronic Disease Management

Chronic illnesses such as heart disease, diabetes, asthma and arthritis are common. All of our doctors are able to assist you in managing these conditions. We may recommend the use of a GP Management Plan where guidance to manage these conditions is individually tailored to your specific health issues. If multiple healthcare providers are involved in your care, we will set up Team Care Arrangements; you may be eligible for referral to your Allied Health Professionals for Medicare rebated visits.

Minor Procedures

We are able to offer a variety of minor procedures at the clinic. Several doctors also work in hospitals, assisting a variety of surgeons, and thus have a special interest and experience in the removal of minor lesions.
